Definitely a popular spot. It’s an interesting look from outside. Once inside it smells amazing. We already knew before arriving we were getting pizza. We opted for thin crust this go round, but are talking about possibly going back before we leave to try the deep dish. We also ordered salad and hot wings. Our server was so amazing and on top of everything we needed the entire time. All of our food was so good. So cheesy and sauce amazing. The bottom was toasty and delicious. Parking lot was good size and we had no issues. The inside reminded me of an old school round table pizza on the west coast. Highly recommend if in the area. Delicious and great service.

We had excellent service and enjoyed the atmosphere. The pizzas and smashburger were delicious. The pan pizza crust was lacking in flavor (i prefer a garlic crust, it was bland) but the pizza overall was very good: no complaints, just a preference. The thin crust was very good!

Overall, I had a great dining experience. The food was amazing from start to finishβ€”everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Every dish we tried was delicious, and it's clear they take pride in the quality of their food. The service was just as good. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. I have no complaints and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

MEH I recently visited The Silo in Lake Bluff for dinner with clients; the staff are friendly and welcoming and the interior features old wooden beams, cement floors, and the like, suggestive of an old barn or farm outbuilding renovated and repurposed as a restaurant. It is very dark inside, even in the afternoon. My clients, before making our dinner arrangements, had told me they had heard good things about The Silo; upon reading various reviews posted online I had my doubts but since they were my clients, I did not say anything. Perhaps I should have done so. Although I arrived early, the noise inside was tremendous; there is nothing to absorb the chatter and it was very hard to hear my clients speaking, despite being at the same table. The table was clean...sort of. It had been wiped with a wet rag, and the surface was sticky and unpleasant; a good scrubbing with Murphy's Wood Soap would have made a tremendous improvement. Our server was pleasant and friendly; I do not recall his name. He was very young. I ordered a diet soda which came reasonably quickly; however, it was more syrup than fizz and I did not care for it. For $4 a well-mixed soda should not be an issue. My clien

I used to love this place, but it is changing, and not for the better. The staff was good, it was the portion sizes. They went from plentiful to skimpy. Still, out of loyalty, we would always come back. Well, last night we did a pick-up instead of dining in. We ordered two 6” inch pizzas, one 9” pizza, mozzarella sticks and 6 wings. First, they messed up one of the pizzas by putting on the wrong ingredients. Second, there was hardly any cheese or pepperoni under the sauce. It was really all dough. The mozzarella sticks were pretty good, but the wings were so skinny and small. We paid $70 for this??? I didn’t want to leave this review, but I felt I had to. Maybe, just maybe the manager or owner will read this and make some changes to keep its base. I am rooting for Silos to make the necessary changes to please its customers. We may give them another try, but if they skimp on us again, we will never go there again. Loyalty works both ways. Treat your customers fairly.

We stopped here after a long drive from Texas while waiting for access to our Airbnb. The venue is rustic with neat accents all around including a train which will blow its horn. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Our waiter was top notch providing quick service, knowledgeable on the menu and very personable. We ordered fried pickles as an app. They were a bit greasy but still good. We ordered a 14" pizza half margarita and half supreme. The pizza was covered with toppings; they definitely don't skimp on them. For dessert the waiter recommended the cookie with ice cream. It was the best part of the meal and large enough for everyone to have a piece. The meal was priced well, especially since we all enjoyed our food.

Restaurant was busy even close to closing time . The service was good. Had a 9inch deep dish supreme. It was a bit small, for two hungry people.I expected the pizza to be a bit more spicy than it was, hence only 4 stars. The rest of the ingredients were good as well as the crust. I would go here again but just get something with more spices.

Used to love it, not so much any more. Menu is expansive, makes me want to try so much. The special za's have been great - wgn reviewed seafood pizza is no joke; one of those things u think sounds odd but if u have it, its phenomenal! Fried pickle order is huge and ok. Recently ordered a take out order that was far less than stellar. Young dude on phone was less than helpful or personable - but thats the new world we live in- they're too involved in their phones to realize how to interact in person. No problem there, I'm realizing gen x is becoming the new dinosaurs. The food/price however... absolutely not worth it now. I got soup and tried their Mac. The soup to go actually sucked and the Mac for $20?!?!? Guess I expect too much. It was friggin Mac n cheese w broccoli. I got no seasoning or heat. Don't think I'll b back, obviously it's a money hungry area, which is fine if you're offering something stellar - this ain't it, not for my OT money!
